藝人簡介
Dana Glover就像是一個在自己的想象中尋找安慰的精靈，當她還在北卡羅來那時，她的家庭就搬去過三個不同的郊區(qū)，是教堂使得他們一家才最終生了根，Glover 部分靈感來自于宗教音樂。她嘗試過上鋼琴課，但是自娛自樂更讓她感到滿足。她同時學習過薩克斯管。八年級的時候，Glover 在學校的才藝秀中演唱了"St. Elmo's Fire"，從那時起，她明白了音樂會是她的追求。Glover16歲時, 她離開美麗的南方去了紐約做模特。薪水不錯，她在文化界也有所涉足，但還是在繼續(xù)寫音樂. 當模特使Glover更清楚得認識這個世界，并迫使她很快成熟起來，她寫歌的水平有了長足的進步。在紐約呆兩年對Glover來說已經(jīng)足夠，18歲時她與家人搬到納什威爾，嘗試營造自己的音樂空間，但是那里并不是合適她的地方。她和她的兄弟最終還是離開去了洛山磯，這是一次大膽的嘗試，Glover的夢想有可能變?yōu)楝F(xiàn)實。Glover為了得到夢工廠的賞識，近乎瘋狂地竭盡所能。她神經(jīng)脆弱近乎崩潰，但對她的工作卻很有利。夢工廠的會員，前樂隊的音樂人，作曲者Robbie Robertson 簽了Glover。在Shrek 和The Wedding Planner中，她的聲音卓爾不群。2002年秋，Dana Glover 出了她第一張專輯Testimony。
她有一副挺奇特的嗓音，個人爵士聽的不多所以斗膽將她比作適合唱爵士的那種嗓音，渾厚卻略帶支離，偶爾會產(chǎn)生聲嘶力竭的幻覺。專輯風格也挺另類，絕對是自創(chuàng)的一流派。
